John W. Barnhill, Jr. - Blue Bell Creameries, Inc. Endowed Presidential Scholarship - Award is made to journalism major who is a US citizen and Texas resident. Must currently be in the College of Communication as a full-time student and must maintain a minimum grade average of 3.0.
A.H. Belo Corporation Foundation Scholarship (formerly The Dallas Morning News - WFAA Foundation Scholarship) - Given to students with major in College of Communication.

Lloyd Allen David Endowed Presidential Scholarship Fund in Journalism - No restrictions.
Norris G. Davis Journalism Scholarship Fund - Award is made to journalism majors in print media with excellence in scholarship, journalistic activities and achievements. Financial need is a secondary consideration.
Charles Robert Devall Journalism Award - Award is made to upper-division journalism student who has distinguished himself or herself scholastically and professionally and who intends to pursue a career in the newspaper field.
Maxine Smith Elam Centennial Endowed Scholarship Fund in Journalism - Award made to a student working toward support, showing academic ability and engaged in extracurricular activities at UT. Preference is given to persons working on the Daily Texan.
Martin L. Gibson, Jr. Endowed Scholarship in Journalism - Undergraduate journalism students with a specialization in print journalism.
Clarence E. Gilmore Prize - Award given to a student of journalism in the University who writes the best editorials on the value of safety as applied to some one more lines of industry or transportation.
Robert M. Jackson Endowed Scholarship Fund in Journalism - Award made to journalism students in print or photo sequence.

Georgia Lucas Scholarship Fund in Journalism - No restrictions.
Ward C. Mayborn Journalism Scholarship - Award made to a student demonstrating financial need and academic ability and who is pursuing a career in newspapers and shows initiative in being at least self-supporting.
Will H. Mayes Scholarship in Journalism - Award made to students demonstrating financial need and academic ability. Student has to be a junior, senior or grad.(prefer $500/yr)
Staley and Beverly McBrayer Endowed Fund in Community Journalism - Award made to students showing an interest in community journalism. If no applicants indicate such an interest, awards may go to students interested in small-market broadcast field first, then from other general areas in journalism.
Carl R. Miller Journalism Scholarship Fund - Award made to a student who aspires to enter the field of community or newspaper journalism.
Frank Morrow Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Business Journalism - Award made to a current journalism major who meets the following criteria:
GPA 3.75 or above
does not already have a bachelor's degree
has taken courses in business, economics, accounting, marketing and/or psychology
has at least 45 hours in residence
DeWitt C. Reddick Journalism Scholarship Fund - Award made to a student with a academic ability, financial need with preference for participation in journalism events in UIL and dedication to a career in journalism.
Neva McMurray Riedel Endowment Scholarship - Award made to a student with upper-division standing newsprint showing evidence of notable achievement in academic coursework, aptitude for success and financial need.
Joe Roddy, Jr. Headliners Foundation Scholarship in Broadcast News - Award made to a journalism major in broadcast news who is registered as a full-time student with a GPA of 3.0, and a Texas resident.
M.S. (Doc) Sellers Scholarship in Print Journalism - Award given to a journalism major with academic ability and financial need, with a concentration in print journalism.
Texas Professional Communicators (formerly Texas Press Women) - Award given to a journalism major with academic ability and financial need.
Thomas Thompson Journalism Scholarship - Award made to journalism majors showing academic ability and financial need.
Thomas Thompson Texas Exes Association Scholarship - Prefer News/Public Affairs major.
Stanley Walker Memorial Award in Journalism
Carmage & Martha Ann Walls Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Journalism - (Separate application) Award given to students of journalism who are from the geographic areas served by Southern Newspapers, Inc. and Walls Investment newspapers.
David M. Warren & Alvah Meyer Warren Journalism Scholarship Fund - Award made to a journalism major with financial need and academic ability.
Hal John Wimberly Memorial Scholarship in Journalism - Award made to students in the news sequence in their junior year and making significant progress toward their undergraduate degree. Financial need and GPA may be considered in the selection process. This award may be given to the same person in successive years to permit completion of the student's degree plan.
