Postgraduate Studentships School of Psychology University of Southampton

We have a number of studentships available for PhD students wishing to pursue a research degree commencing October 2006 in any of our existing research groups: Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, Health, Learning and Behaviour Analysis, and Social and Personality Psychology. In the last RAE exercise Psychology at Southampton was given a rating of "5" and we ranked 5th in the country in the number of research active staff, and our research power places us amongst the top 10 departments in the UK.

--------------------------------------------------
The awards are funded by Research Councils and other external organisations, and by the University of Southampton and the School of Psychology itself. The School has an excellent track record of securing external funding for students. Last year we funded 14 students from various sources and we expect to fund a similar number for entry October 2006.
