Sampoerna Foundation is an Indonesian, independent and non-profit organization with an objective to develop Indonesian human resources through philanthropic activities in the field of education. We believe that the development of Indonesian human resources is not solely the responsibility of the Government, but private sectors should also play significant roles in the constructive contribution of nation building through education. We currently concentrate our programs in awarding scholarships to young and bright Indonesians to study Business and Management.

Sampoerna Foundation is pleased to announce its support for 30 (thirty) Indonesians to undertake a Master Degree (MM or MSi) in Business and Management at leading universities in Indonesia and 2 (two) Indonesians to undertake Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at leading Business Schools in USA for the academic year of 2006/2007. Full scholarship packages will be awarded to successful candidates who demonstrate excellent academic, professional, personal and leadership qualities and gain successful entrance to respective universities as advised by the Foundation.

The scholarships are open to S-1 graduates from public and private local universities. The scholarships are not intended to accommodate recent overseas graduates; individuals who are currently enrolled in a local graduate school and/or who have obtained a master degree and/or its equivalent qualification.

Conditions for Local Postgraduate

Indonesian Citizen.

Holds S-1/undergraduate degree or its equivalent qualification with a minimum GPA (on a 4.00 scale base) of 2.75 for Science and Engineering streams, and 3.00 for Social/Humanities streams.

Has a valid English proficiency test (institutional or prediction EPT or TOEFL is accepted) with a 550 minimum.

Has a valid Potential Academic Test (TPA) score with 550 minimum.

Maximum age of 30 years by the application deadline.

Has some professional experiences after completion of the S-1 degree or be fresh graduates with outstanding academic and excellent organizational achievements.

Not receiving similar or equivalent award/scholarship; not be seeking support for a course already commenced.

Demonstrate commitment to the development of the society and the nation.

Pass the Selection Process conducted by Sampoerna Foundation.

Pass the university entrance qualification.

Full scholarship packages will be awarded to selected candidates. The scholarship will cover: Tuition Fees, Living Allowances, Literature/Books Fees, Internet Access and Related Research Fees.

Conditions for Overseas Postgraduate

Indonesian Citizen.

Holds S-1/undergraduate degree or its equivalent qualification from any discipline with a minimum GPA (on a 4.00 scale base) of 3.25..

Has a valid International TOEFL test result with a 600 (paper based) or 287 (computer based) minimum.

Has a valid GMAT test result with a 600 minimum..

Maximum age of 35 years by the application deadline..

Has a minimum of 2 (two) years professional experience after completion of the S-1 degree..

Not receiving similar or equivalent award/scholarship; not be seeking support for a course already commenced..

Demonstrate commitment to the development of the society and the nation.

Pass the Selection Process conducted by Sampoerna Foundation and/or the University.

Full scholarship packages will be awarded to selected candidates for the maximum duration of 2 (two years). The scholarship will cover: Universities Application Fees, Tuition Fees, Living Allowances, Literature/Books Fees, Internet Access and Related Research Fees, Medical Insurance, Return Air Fares, Student Visa Application Fees and Fiscal Tax.

Selection Procedure

Interested applicants must obtain Application Package (Scholarship General Information and Scholarship Application Pack) from Sampoerna Foundation. Selection will be conducted on merit basis, professional and personal qualifications, commitment to and interest in community and national development, as well as leadership potentials.

You can download the Application Pack through http://www.sampoernafoundation.org or send your enquiries to info@sampoernafoundation.org or obtain the hard copy by sending request with sufficient reply stamp to Sampoerna Foundation's office in Jakarta.

Sampoerna Foundation will notify successful candidates for further selection processes.

Selected candidates should directly apply and submit their university application to selected universities

Applicant should submit their completed scholarship application accompanied with essential supporting documents by 01 September 2003 .

Only candidates returning the Application by this date (stamp post) will be processed.

If you are selected, you will be required to register at your preffered university. Contact the university directly to find out further about their selection process.

Please note that to be able to join this program, you should have significant level of English proficiency.

Prepare necessary documents such as certified Transcripts, CV, recommendation letters etc. Read for details in the Application Pack (Requirements and Application Form).
